This set of French January calendar cards will support the calendar routine in your French classroom and offer extra practice for your students.
As you go through the days of the month, you can also have kids answer simple questions or accomplish easy, but engaging tasks.
They follow the same structure as the French December calendar cards.
This is a fun and effective way to warm up for a very productive school day!
French January Calendar Cards
In addition to the headers (month, days of the week, and “C’est l’hiver!”), there are 31 cards, one for each day of the month.
On the back of each card, there is a task to be completed by students. For example:
- Écrire une phrase avec le mot “flocon”
- Comment faire un chocolat chaud?
- Écrire une phrase avec le mot “bonhomme”
- Qu’est-ce que c’est une résolution? (in the picture below)

Students can do the task of the day OR you can have them pick a random number after you have finished the calendar time.
The second option allows you to use up all the cards, even those days that are weekends or holidays.
The purpose of the tasks is to build on your students’ confidence by offering simple ways to let them show you what they know.
Students will be challenged by these cards and they will soon be asking for more tasks
Be sure to check out the February cards!
Thanks for stopping by!
